In the world of chain pizza, Vocelli's is better than most. The ovens are hot enough to get a good crispy bottom to the crust, and put a little bit of char on the veggie toppings. We ordered up the Basil Pesto Alfredo. Good amount of toppings - not overloaded, which on a veggie pizza can swamp the entire pie in moisture. Pie was ready in 15 minutes, and cost $13 for a 14". My only complaint would be that the crust is a little thicker/breadier than I normally care for, but otherwise it's one of the best franchise pizzas I've had in a while.

My family and I wanted pizza today. I wanted homemade, one wanted Ledo's, another didn't know. We decided to try Vocelli. We ordered 2 large thin crust pizzas. One pepperoni, one pepperoni, onion and green peppers. And an order of wings. I'm gonna go ahead and rate our food 5 stars. Lots of pepperoni, perfectly cooked crust, great sauce. Excellent. The wings were meaty, cooked to perfection. We called our order in and picked it up. It was ready on time. The store was clean and the workers were friendly. My new favorite pizza place.

The pizza and wings are better than any comparable competitor (Solana, Pizza Boli, etc.). Not quite as good as Coal Fire, but still very good.

I work at a facility near the restaurant and I have a limited amount of time for lunch! I called Vocelli's 20 mins before my lunch meeting was supposed to start and ordered a pizza and a lunch special. Not only was the price awesome, but after hearing my dilemma they offered to prepare and deliver my food within 25 minutes. My food arrived in 20 minutes exactly and the delivery guy was beyond polite! The pizza was excellent and everyone was pleased! Great product and great customer service!

We regularly order from Vocelli. We have tried most of their artisan pizzas, and really like them. Particular favorites are chicken pesto (it's addictive) and chicken spinacci. The ingredients are fresh and the crust (we prefer thin crust) is the right combination of crisp and chewy.

Got a large pizza with 2 of my friends. 2 out of 3 of us got food poisoning. Currently writing this from the toilet. Tasted decent at the time probably a step up from papa johns but not quite dominos or Pizza Hut.

This has to be the worse pizza I have ever had. I must say this is the first time my jaws actually hurt eating a pizza. Chewing their cardboard like crust was quite painful. I asked for extra cheese, so why were there slices that did not have cheese on them? It was a really weird cheese too... I've never seen cheese, when hot, not separate with strings. I felt it was artificial especially since it didn't taste like cheese. I asked for onions which I could barely see. There were small slivers on a few slices, enough to get one bite of onion for the entire slice. Keep in mind the onion was only on a few slices. The sauce was so thin on the pizza I thought they must have airbrushed it on. There was absolutely no tomato flavor. I have never seen a pizza place use pepperoni the size of nickels before and then have the nerve to be skimpy with them. This place should be embarrassed to call themselves a pizza place or even a food place. I don't call what they served me, food. I hate throwing away food but I have no desire to eat that mess.

** THIS REVIEW IS ONLY FOR LARGE CHEESE PIZZA ** Hello all, as you can tell by the nice little capitalized heading up top, the following review is only for a cheese pizza. Why? You ask? As everyone knows, if a Pizza joint can make a great cheese pizza, then there is an overwhelming chance the other pizzas are fantastic. Give me a good margherita pizza, and I am hooked for life to the place. Growing up, our taste buds are so accustomed to the sodium filled, super tart and and thick sauced, and heavy "cheese" on a thick chewy "crust" that we got from delivery pizza. Well, as I got older, I began appreciating how great a simple cheese and sauce on a perfect crust can trump any pan pizza with 15 toppings. I am always seacrhing for that true taste of naples simple pizza. For some reason, I had never heard of Vocelli's before. For the record, I have nothing against a pizza chain, so long as the pizza is good, but I have yet to find a chain that has good pizza. When I try a new place out I always order in person, so I can taste it fresh and hot. VERDICT: I was extremely disappointed. Not only did I want to go back into the place and throw the other 7 slices back at the employees and yell "DiGiorno's is way better than this!! Hell, Red Baron is wayy better than this!! Hell, 7-11 is wayy better than this!!" But seeing that I am a peace loving person who watches videos of cats on youtube, I refrained. Ok, let's get serious. The first thing is this thing was SMALL! A large cheese cost $11.99 but the size of it was that of a small at most places. At the most, it would be a medium. Think of Domino's medium pizzas and that is the EXACT size. For nearly $13 with tax for a plain pizza, I expected it to be much, much bigger. This was the smallest "large" I have ever seen in my life. The crust was way too thick to be described as "NY style" by Vocelli's. It's thickness is almost identical to frozen pizza's crust thickness and that is bad. In addition, the pizza is cooked in a regular oven so there is no "char", no "smoky" taste, and really no character. The bottom of the crust was crispy, but when you think of a good authentic slice, all you really want is a "chew" to the crust and a slight "pull". Crispiness is not that important, and it reminded me of a frozen pizza that you bake without a baking sheet so the bottom becomes more crispy. But it still was too thick. Ok, here's where it gets rough, and I may be targeted by employees if they should ever read this review, but the cheese and the sauce were dismal, bland, and almost non-existent. I am not exagerating, but there was hardly any sauce on this thing at all and even less cheese. Now I know a great pizza is very light on the sauce and very light on the cheese. But this was ridiculous. I could NOT taste the sauce at all! One thing I will give is that it did not look like canned sauce because I did see small tomato skins in the sauce. The cheese, I assume had to be mozzarella, had no taste and like I mentioned, there was hardly any cheese on this thing. Remember I ate this thing imediately when it came out of the oven ( I went in my car, tossed on some Air Supply, got depressed, but then I started eating). So everything was piping hot and I expected each bite would leave some strings of cheese stretching. It was odd cus there was no "melty" cheese?? Vocelli's must use extremely tiny particles of cheese because there were NO cheese that stretched off of each bite. I even tore pieces off in case my teeth were too sharp, but nope, the tears came off clean with no cheese stretching off the edges. THAT is wierd. In the end, tis pizza just has NO taste whatsover. I sat there completely dumbfounded how terrible this pizza was! I could not believe it! There are dozens of pizza places everywhere now and each one always has some special on large cheese pizzas that run about HALF the price of this thing that are much, much bigger and mucy better tasting! So, to be fair, I will say this. Maybe Vocelli's is like most pizza chains in that they do most of their business selling pies with toppings. And when you eat a meatlovers, or a veggie, or even just peperoni, the cheese and sauce become less important. So maybe that is where I went wrong. But as I stated, there is nothing better than a really, REALLY good NY style plain cheese. Unfortunately Vocelli's does not offer one. If you are in the Columbia/EC area, some great pizza places (to be fair we will keep it at a plain cheese) are Trattoria in Dorsey Search and the newer pizza chained CoalFire Oven Pizza joint on Richards Valley Rd. ON Mondays, Trattoria sells their large for only $7 ($11.25 reg) and this is as close to NY I have found. CoalFire is great for a true margherita (sweet sauce, slices of buffalo mozz, charred crust) but it is expensive cus it's a huge chain.

Ok, so we've just moved to Ellicott City, and this is the third pizza establishment we've tried. I am so underwhelmed, but I'll try to explain why. The pizza we ordered was a Sicilian style pepperoni pizza, nothing too exotic. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes, and about $16. The crust was too dry, the tomato sauce lacked any spices or garlic flavor, and each piece of the pie averaged 2 1" diameter pepperonis, and lacked complete coverage with the cheese. It was really lackluster, and the one star was awarded on speed. No other characteristics of the pizza warranted greater merit.

Even though part of a franchised chain, this feels like a locally-owned original. We order from them regularly and particularly like the Meat Magnifico (corny? yeah!) and the Hawaiian, booth thin crust. Salads are also excellent there.

Normally I order Papa Johns for delivery, but decided to try another restaurant last night. After the first bite of Chicken Spinach pizza I was hooked. This pizza is delicious and to my liking! Not greasy, amble toppings, and perfect crust thickness. I ordered online through Vocellipizza.com . The account set up was easy enough and it took me all of 2 minutes to place my order. The order portal gave me a time window of about 40 minutes for my pizza to be delivered - it was at my door in 30 minutes. Vocelli offers an array of coupons through their website. When checking out, be sure to click the link for coupons - scroll down to the online only coupons. I used a $4 off a large pizza. This was enough to entice me to add a few extra toppings.

This was my first day experiencing this place. We did a local fundraiser here sponsoring my school, so I felt compelled to give them not one, but two chances. For lunch, I ordered a salad in which I asked them to add grilled chicken and to leave off both the black olives and green peppers. When I received my salad I had NO chicken and LOADS of black olives and green peppers. Fast forward to tonight. Called in my order around 4pm for a 5pm pick up. Changed my mind about pick up time, called back and changed it to 6pm. When I entered, the very curt and sardonic cashier asked me for my phone #. I told her I was never asked for a # on the phone. Her retort, "well how am I supposed to find your order?" I gave her my name and she said, "that doesn't help me much." I'm sorry, but I work in the restaurant business and this is NOT a response you give to a customer. She then proceeded to read all the order's names behind her, none of which were mind and made it seem like my fault that the person answering the phone didn't ask for my #. Finally, the manager came out. I thought this would turn out better, but alas, it was the same. He told me that they don't take orders without a # so I must be mistaken. I assured him I was not, that nobody in two phone calls asked for a #. He said, "then we don't have your order." When I gave him the name of the person I spoke to, he looked surprised and asked her if she remembered my call. She did and wouldn't you know it, my order was right behind them the entire time. He finally semi-apologized to me saying that everyone is supposed to get phone #s and that a guy in the back musta "slipped up." Fine...but what poor customer service. Do they really think that I was trying to be difficult, that I didn't want my pizza and that I enjoyed going back and forth about it? All would have been a lot easier if they took the time to ask what I ordered, who I spoke to, etc instead of assuming I was in the wrong. This topped with the incorrect salad order...I do NOT recommend this establishment in the least.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
